Harder Conversations UK Edition

Last year (2017), I took part in Patti Digh’s Hard Conversation Book Club and although it was interesting and I read some fantastic books, there was a part of me that wanted to discover the same kind of books but from a European point of view, starting with the United Kingdom.

Check out this video where I am talking a bit more about it.

The reading list for 2018 is (so far only until May, further books will be added):

January : Brit(ish) Afua Hirsch

Check out my video conversation here:

February: Black and British David Olusoga

March: Why I’m No Longer Talking to White People About Race Reni Eddo-Lodge

April: The Good Immigrant Nikesh Shukla

May: There Ain’t No Black in the Union Jack Paul Gilroy

June: Hold Tight: Black Masculinity, Millennials & the Meaning of Grime by Jeffrey Boakye
